How to use Audiorake in Logic

Logic Pro 10.5.1+ supports ARA when run on an Intel Mac / under Rosetta only!

Using Audiorake in ARA mode

  1. Select the first plugin insert of the track you want cleaned.
  2. Select ”Audiorake (ARA)” from the list of available plugins.
  3. Nothing happens. Logic doesn’t give ARA plugins access to the samples until playback.
  4. Start playback. This will grant Audiorake access to the samples.
  5. You can now configure Audiorake for that track (e.g., select whether to keep breaths).
  6. (Strongly Recommended) Freeze the track ”⌃ + B” once you are happy with your settings, since Audiorake will make the track less responsive during playback, e.g. when scrubbing around. This way, you can also use other ARA plugins like Vocalign and Melodyne after Audiorake.
